The difference between integrating technology and tacking technology onto an assignment is fairly easy recognize. Research is a good example of integrating technology into an assignment. For example, you may want your students to become proficient in community activities offered in their area. The students will have forty five minutes to surf the web for activities in the community. This lesson directly increases the skills of using technology and social awareness. An example of tacking on technology would be, have your students read a book and write an essay about the assignment using two resources. The student then has a "choice" of using the web to locate the second resource. However, the assignment is not soley based on the use of that form of technology.
